Thomas Tuchel’s side are locked in a transfer tussle for his signature alongside both Manchester clubs and Real Madrid.

According to the Telegraph, Haaland would be open to holding talks over a potential switch to the European champions.

The 20-year-old frontman is believed to be demanding around £300,000-a-week to sign on the dotted line.

Tuchel is prioritising signing a new striker this summer and knows he can’t rely on the misfiring Timo Werner.

The German boss is also looking into the possibility of offering Tammy Abraham in a player-plus-cash transfer for Haaland.

They value their academy graduate at around £40m.

Chelsea have also looked into signing Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku.

But both deals appear highly unlikely leaving Tuchel to make his move for Haaland.

The Norwegian smashed in 41 goals in 41 games this season but still finished behind Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts.

Chelsea and Dortmund have a history of doing business together, with Christian Pulisic arriving from the German outfit in 2019, a year after Michy Batshuayi headed the other way on loan.

World’s richest horse racing owners – including the Queen and Sheikh Mohammed – set to battle it out at Royal Ascot

MONEY talks at Royal Ascot and in a normal year you could expect to see some high-profile owners strut their stuff.

This year things might be a bit different with the attendance capped at 12,000, but the big guns will still be out to play.

Royal Ascot kicks off on Tuesday[/caption]

The Queen – 350 million

A Royal Meeting is nothing without the Queen but the traditional Royal procession could again be missing this year.

In normal times each day would start with the procession of carriages, with the Queen leading in other guests, usually high-profile owners and other Royals.

The Queen is an avid racing fan[/caption]

But it’s the action on the track the Queen is there for and she’ll be represented by a number of horses again next week, including Tactical for trainer Andrew Balding.

She has had a staggering 71 winners at the meeting. The most famous of those might be Estimate’s Gold Cup win in 2013, with the memorable scenes being screened around the globe.

Sheikh Mohammed – 10 billion

They don’t come much richer than the Dubai ruler and his famous Godolphin colours are a regular on the biggest and best racecourses around the world.

Just this weekend he won the Derby with Adayar and the Belmont Stakes with Essential Quality for a cool £2 million.

Sheikh Moahmmed is the founder of the Godolphin operation[/caption]

This year at Ascot, the likes of Highland Avenue in the St James’s Palace Stakes will lead the ‘boys in blue’ charge.

It’s unlikely the Sheikh will visit Ascot this year, but luckily for him he can enjoy one of his properties that make up his £500 million empire on these shores.

John Magnier (Coolmore) – 2 billion

Coolmore Stud have made their millions on the racetrack and they continue to dominate on the Flat.

With their ace trainer Aidan O’Brien consistently delivering the goods and superstar stallion Galileo continuing to produce stars, their power shows no signs of slipping.

O’Brien has trained a staggering 70 Royal Ascot winners[/caption]

Next week the likes of Love, Mother Earth, Armory and a host of two-year-olds will descend on Ascot.

O’Brien has trained a ridiculous 70 Royal winners on his own and in 2016 had an incredible seven winners in one year.

Stuttgart star Silas Wamangituka reveals he was playing under fake name and age after ‘human trafficking’ by agent

VFB Stuttgart star Silas Wamangituka has revealed he was playing football under a different name and age.

The forward admitted that the data had been changed when he was a teenager by a former agent who was controlling him.

Wamangituka told Stuttgart he had been living in fear since leaving the Democratic Republic of Congo to play for French club Ales.

He revealed that his real name was Silas Katompa Mvumpa and his birthdate was a year earlier, making him now 22 instead of 21.

The striker said his personal information had been changed by an agent in Belgium who had put pressure on him before a trial with Anderlecht when he was 18.

He told Stuttgart’s website: “I have lived in constant fear in recent years and was worried about my family in the Congo. It was a very difficult step for me to reveal my story.

I have lived in constant fear in recent years and was worried about my family in the Congo. It was a very difficult step for me to reveal my story.

“I only dared to do this with the support of my new consultants. I realised I should no longer have to be afraid and that we could put everything out on the table.

“I wouldn’t have dared do this if VfB Stuttgart hadn’t become a second home for me where I feel safe.”

Silas – as he is now known as – also now has a valid Congolese passport with corrected personal details.

Stuttgart have released a statement that throws their support behind their player – who was recently crowned Bundesliga Rookie of the Season.

The club’s sports director Thomas Hitzlsperger said: “We took all measures immediately and alerted all necessary authorities after Silas told us.

“We make this case public to underline that we are proceeding in a transparent way.”

Sven Mislintat added, as reported by Bild: “I think if you use the heading ‘human trafficking’ to describe it, you get relatively close to the topic.”

Team news

Stephen Kenny wants fledgling Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu to experience battle amid a hostile atmosphere as he attempts to steel him for September’s World Cup qualifiers.

The 19-year-old Manchester City keeper, who spent last season on loan at League One Rochdale, was handed a senior debut for his country in March’s World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg with number one Darren Randolph and Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher injured, and has retained his place since.

However, asked if the uncapped Kelleher, 22, would get his chance in Tuesday night’s friendly against Hungary in front of a partisan crowd at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion in Budapest, Kenny admitted he had a big decision to make.

Bazunu is one of a series of young players to have been handed their chance by Kenny, 19-year-old Tottenham striker Troy Parrott also catching the eye with two goals against Andorra, and Egan admits they have dealt admirably with the pressure of the step up.
