Erin Napier revealed on Thursday that she is unable to breastfeed as the 35-year-old HGTV’s Home Town star shared a photo to Instagram.

The star was holding a bottle while explaining the child is on formula.

And she had a message for other mothers in the same position. ‘Just a little encouragement for you mamas who weren’t able to breastfeed, like me. Don’t let anyone make you feel less than or belittled because of it,’ she wrote in the caption.

In the caption, she also said that she was not able to breast her three-year-old daughter Helen when she was a baby.

Erin continued, ‘Helen was a formula baby and has no allergies, has always been a healthy weight, no big sicknesses, slept through the night by 6 weeks, smart as a whip, and is just as in love with and attached to her mama as her breastfed friends are to theirs.

‘Formula is our friend at this house! Just watch as these little matchstick legs get chunky and strong,’ Napier said at the end of the caption.

Happy family: Erin shares Mae and Helen with her husband and fellow Home Town star, Ben, 35. She gave birth to Mae on May 28. Seen in 2017

In the photo, Mae is wearing a yellow, green and white baby bodysuit as she rests on Erin’s lap while Erin feeds her with a bottle of formula. Mae’s face is not revealed in the snap.

Meanwhile, Erin and Ben divulged on Monday that their newborn’s name was actually revealed on hit drama show This Is Us earlier this year.

Erin shared that the infant’s name was actually ‘snuck’ onto the show by good friend Chris Sullivan, who plays Toby, ahead of her birth.

Sharing a screen grab of a notepad full of names as penned by Sullivan on television, Napier also revealed that Mae’s middle name (which has yet to be announced) also made its way onto the list.

In the NBC drama, Sullivan’s character Toby was seen jotting down a list of potential middle names for he and on-screen wife Chrissy Metz’s daughter.

And on the list he snuck in the name ‘Mae’ amongst a dozen others, with Erin sharing that he did it to see if the Napiers would ‘spot it.’

‘An Easter egg from our friend @sullivangrams: earlier this year on This Is Us, Kate and Toby were at the hospital awaiting their baby. Our friend Chris, who plays Toby, was writing down ideas for the baby’s middle name and he snuck Mae (and her middle name!) in there to see if we would spot it when we watched the episode,’ she wrote.

And as stated in her caption, Mae’s middle name also appeared on that same list which sent fans into a tizzy trying to guess the chosen moniker.

‘I’m guessing Mae Elizabeth because Elizabeth is written twice,’ wrote one fan, with others seconding the notion.

The home renovation pair chose the name ‘Mae’ after Erin’s beloved Aunt Mae, and announced the arrival on Instagram with tiny polaroids of intimate hospital moments.

On Monday Ben shared a photo of their two daughters bonding. ‘This is a very memorable Memorial Day weekend for me and my girls,’ he wrote.

New arrival: The Home Town stars welcomed Mae on Friday May 28 and chose to name her after Erin’s Aunt Mae

The pair announced they were expecting in April, keeping the pregnancy largely underwraps despite knowing since September. ‘We’re having another baby,’ the pair told the publication in the spring.

The second pregnancy continued to be a sort of miracle given Erin’s health battle which began when she was just 19.

The designer struggled with severe stomach pain for years before doctors informed her she had a perforated appendix, which had caused immense internal damage.

And as the constant rupturing had caused her organs to become wrapped in scar tissue, doctors told her that she may not be able to have any children which she called ‘very sad,’ before they got pregnant with Helen in 2017.

‘You weren’t in the water playing or swimming, she had no idea why you were in the water,’ she continued.

NBC has halted production on its upcoming show Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide after a diarrhea outbreak among multiple members of the crew.

The shutdown is indefinite according to The Wrap which reported that the illness may have affected as many as 40 people who worked on the program.

Crew members were ‘collapsing’ and ‘forced to run into port-o-potties’ as a result of the ‘awful explosive diarrhea’ according to one source.

Uh oh: NBC has halted production on its upcoming show Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide after a diarrhea outbreak; hosts Ron Funches (left) and Bobby Moynihan (right) however did not fall ill

The insider alleged further that some crew members feel the production is culpable and are leery of coming back to work.

A studio representative said: ‘The health and safety of everyone on our set is our number one priority, so out of an abundance of caution we have made the decision to stop production of Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide at the current location. We are in the process of determining next steps in order to complete production.’

Universal Television Alternative Studios, which is behind the show, said a crew member got a positive test for a diarrhea-causing parasite called giardia on June 2.

That very same day a stop was put to the production, which was taking place on a ranch in Simi Valley, an area just outside Los Angeles County.

The bug: Universal Television Alternative Studios, which is behind the show, said a crew member got a positive test for a diarrhea-causing parasite called giardia on June 2

The health departments of both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, plus an environmental lab, tested all the water utilized in the show for parasites.

Although the water in the restroom sinks, slide pool, pond, water truck and well did not have giardia in it the parasite was found nearby this week.

An insider dished to TMZ that just one week was left of the shoot, with seven weeks of filming already having been completed prior to the stay.

Family fun: The show is inspired by the popular children’s Slip ‘N Slide game which is pictured

Saturday Night Live alum Bobby Moynihan and Undateable star Ron Funches, who are hosting the show, reportedly did not fall ill.

The idea of the show is for two-person teams to compete against one another for a cash prize by engaging in hijinks with names like Bocce Fall and Human Pong.

Coming at the end of the show, the Big Slipper is the Slip ‘N Slide challenge and will decide which of the final two teams will win.

Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds are expanding the reach of their Group Effort Initiative by teaming up with an initiative led by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Launched in the past year, GEI aims to ‘create a pipeline for members of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color) and other marginalized communities to get real experience towards a lasting career within the entertainment industry.’

With the merger of GEI with Mayor Garcetti’s Evolve Entertainment Fund on Friday, the new organization will be focused on making more Hollywood jobs, training and mentorships available to underrepresented communities.

Joining forces: Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively merged their Group Effort Initiative with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Evolve Entertainment Fund to create a new organization

‘Today, Group Effort is merging with @MayorOfLA’s Evolve Entertainment Fund to offer more people from under-represented communities opportunities in the entertainment industry,’ the non-profit said in a statement shared on Twitter.

‘We’re so grateful to Mayor Garcetti, our early partners and hand-raisers who helped make this possible!’

In a statement, Reynolds said he and his wife ‘have been so thrilled and humbled by both the interest in the program and the eagerness of our industry to help.’

Mission statement: The new organization formed by the merger of GEI and Evolve Entertainment Fund will be focused on making more Hollywood jobs, training and mentorship available to underrepresented communities

Making a difference: Mayor Garcetti’s Evolve has already partnered with 152 entertainment companies and 28 community and educational organizations since launching in 2018

He added, ‘Opening up access to our industry will truly take a group effort, and we’re just getting started.’

The merger is just the latest for Mayor Garcetti’s non-profit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Since launching in 2018, Evolve has partnered with 152 entertainment companies and 28 community and educational organizations, which has directly led to the facilitation of 559 paid internships and 65 full-time jobs with leading companies like Netflix, WME and Disney’s ABC Entertainment.

Opening the doors: ‘Opening up access to our industry will truly take a group effort, and we’re just getting started,’ Reynolds, 44, said in a statement about the merger

‘Evolve is about more than injecting young people’s voices into our city’s creative output — it makes sure the studios of Hollywood better reflect the melting pot of backgrounds that makes Los Angeles extraordinary,’ Mayor Garcetti shared in a statement.

The Mayor went on to reveal that the Evolve and the Group Effort Initiative merger ‘will provide even more individuals from underserved communities with the opportunity to chase their dreams, secure a career in our city’s most iconic industry, and help ensure our backlots and soundstages represent the diversity in our own backyard.’

Lively and Reynolds’ GEI was founded in August 2020, and has been run through their companies, Maximum Effort and B For Effort.

The goal: Mayor Garcetti, 50, says the merger ‘will provide even more individuals from underserved communities with the opportunity to chase their dreams, secure a career in our city’s most iconic industry, and help ensure our backlots and soundstages represent the diversity in our own backyard’
