Kelsea Ballerini commanded the stage while co-hosting the 2021 CMT Music Awards with fellow country star Kane Brown in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night.

But the 27-year-old country star also shined in the style department by slipping into five glamorous getups during the two-hour ceremony.

Before the show’s commencement, Ballerini wowed in a hot pink vinyl ensemble complete with a corset top and tight trousers to match.

The show-stopping ensemble was completed with a pair of strappy heels of the same material.

The Hole In The Bottle hitmaker wore her long, bright blonde hair down with two braids at the front to frame her face.

Sporting a glowing tan, Ballerini kept her makeup on the natural side with a bit of peachy toned blush and a glossy lip.

Celebrity makeup artist Tarryn Feldman explained how she created the perfect beauty looks to suit each ensemble, revealing that all of her work was inspired by the singer’s colorful outfits.

In order to allow the clothing to take center stage, Tarryn focused on a natural, glowy look with emphasis on the lashes – relying on Kiss My Lash But Better falsies to give the star’s look a glamorous boost.

After striking poses for the red carpet shutterbugs, Kelsea headed inside to put her hosting skills to the test with Kane by her side.

She reappeared in a bright yellow pantsuit complete with a pair of retro flared trousers and a tailored blazer.

Ballerini changed up her hair a bit by fastening two large barrettes to each side of her head.

For her stunning performance with Paul Klein, the singer-songwriter modeled a metallic teal gown with a dramatic leg slit.

The gown also featured long bell sleeves and a plunging neckline that exposed Kelsea’s smooth décolletage.

After accepting her award – and wrapping up the ceremony – the Miss Me More singer appeared in a skimpy ruched mini dress with cut-outs down her chest and arms.

The dress’ many peek-a-boo moments were created by securing each section of fabric with a piece of gold hardware.

Keeping with the theme, Kelsea threw on some chunky gold hoop earrings and slipped into a pair of strappy gold heels.

She also opted to tie her hair back for the backstage photo-op, with a few pieces left out to soften the look.

Wanting to bring her fans along for the ride, Ballerini uploaded clips to her Instagram Story during her many outfit changes.

Last year’s ceremony had to be moved back from its scheduled June date to October of 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, though Wednesday night’s show will have more of sense of normalcy as Covid-19 cases continued to decrease and vaccination rates rise across the US.

In addition to the standard array of country stars, the CMT Music Awards were stocked with artists not usually associated with country music.

J.R.R. Tolkien fans will rejoice that New Line and Warner Bros. are teaming up to create an animé feature prequel to The Lord of the Rings titled The War of the Rohirrim.

The ‘bloodsoaked’ story – penned by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) – centers on Helm’s Deep founder, Helm Hammerhand, the ninth King of Rohan.

It’s set hundreds of years before the epic all-night battle at the fortress depicted in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002).

Surprise! J.R.R. Tolkien fans will rejoice that New Line and Warner Bros. are teaming up to create an animé feature prequel to The Lord of the Rings titled The War of the Rohirrim

And while LOTR director Peter Jackson gave his blessing, he and wife Fran Walsh are not involved with The War of the Rohirrim, but co-writer Philippa Boyens will serve as consultant.

Anime veteran Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) has signed on to direct the fast-tracked film, which plans for a theatrical release.

‘All of us at New Line feel a deep affinity for the extraordinary world J.R.R. Tolkien created, so the opportunity to dive back into Middle-earth with the team at Warner Bros. Animation is a dream come true,’ Warner Bros. Pictures Group COO Carolyn Blackwood and New Line president Richard Brener said in a joint statement to THR on Thursday.

‘Fans know Helm’s Deep as the stage for one of the greatest battles ever put to film and, with many of the same creative visionaries involved and the brilliant Kenji Kamiyama at the helm, we couldn’t be more excited to deliver a fresh vision of its history that will invite global audiences to experience the rich, complex saga of Middle-earth in a thrilling new way.’

Voice casting underway! The ‘bloodsoaked’ story – penned by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) – centers on Helm’s Deep founder, Helm Hammerhand, the ninth King of Rohan

And so it begins…: It’s set hundreds of years before the epic all-night battle at the fortress depicted in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)

The beloved original trilogy amassed 17 Oscars and $2.991B at the global box office, while the Hobbit trilogy earned $2.931B at the box office to far less critical acclaim.

The War of the Rohirrim is separate from Amazon Studios’ $450M-budget live-action series, which will be set in a different age of the world known as Middle-earth.

All of the projects stemmed from the classic fantasy novels The Fellowship of the Ring (1954), The Two Towers (1954), and The Return of the King (1955) written by J.R.R. Tolkien.

And the soon-to-be mom of three was seen with an animated look on her face, as she appeared wide-eyed with her mouth ajar.

As it turns out she was in fact pregnant. ‘I was like, “Wow, this is really interesting that he put it out there in the universe and there it was,”‘ she told the publication, but she chose to keep it a secret.

And she said that though she has no plans to have more kids after this baby, she does love ‘the experience,’ of being pregnant.
