Conor McGregor looks in frightening shape with bulking abs and biceps ahead of UFC 264 trilogy with Dustin Poirier

CONOR MCGREGOR looks to be in peak physical condition ahead of his return to the octagon.

The Notorious is currently gearing up for a blockbuster trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, whom he’ll renew his rivalry with on July 10 in the main event of UFC 264 in Las Vegas.

The Notorious followed up the exercises with some chest flyes[/caption]

McGregor, 32, has been hard at work in the gym ever since his ill-fated rematch with the American in January.

And his physique appears to have reaped the rewards of his hard work.

On Tuesday, the Irishman posted photos of himself during a weightlifting session to his Instagram.

The snaps showed McGregor incline bench pressing 50kg and performing incline flyes with 20kg dumbbells.

And the striations in his obliques and abdominals were popping out as he performed each exercise.

The post’s accompanying caption read: “Big Pumpin.”

McGregor will bid to exact revenge on Poirier when they renew their rivalry at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

The Dubliner suffered a brutal second-round KO loss to the former interim lightweight champion at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi, a defeat that levelled their series at one win apiece.

McGregor is relishing the Sin City series decider and has vowed to get back into the win column in emphatic fashion.

He told Fox Sports: “All the marbles are on the line.

“I’m here training very, very hard. I’m about to go for my second session of the day. I’m in great condition already.

“I beat him in the original bout [in 2014]. I lost in the rematch.

“And then we’ve got trilogy, I’ve got a few little adjustments to make.

“I feel very, very confident. I’m very focused and driven.

“And I’ll go in there and put on one hell of a performance and get it back on July 10th.”

McGregor hasn’t tasted victory at lightweight in nearly five years but plans to end his long wait with a picture-perfect performance.

In May, Mystic Mac said: “July 10th I will do this absolutely flawlessly. We have these clowns sussed and fully!

“They wanna play a game of tactics? No problem, see you in there.

“You’ve awoken a beast. A beast with the backing of a much higher power! Say your prayers.”

Tottenham Premier League fixtures 2021/22: Spurs in horror start against reigning champs Man City as fixtures released

Published

on

By

TOTTENHAM will look to bounce back from a miserable 2020-21 this coming season – but have been handed a nightmare start with a game against Manchester City.

Last time around, Jose Mourinho was sacked and replaced by Ryan Mason on an interim basis as Spurs ended up seventh, just limping into the Europa Conference League.

Tottenham’s fixture list for 2021-22 has been released with a game against Man City first up
Tottenham kick off their 2021-22 season against Man City – but which side will Kane be on?

And as the North Londoners hunt to find a new manager – and cling on to Harry Kane – they will kick-off their preparations for their season-opener against the reigning champions.

Man City are the current favourites to sign £150million-rated England captain Kane.

And in a sick twist of fate, Spurs could be forced to go up against their club icon in the very first game of 2021-22

Tottenham welcome Pep Guardiola and Co for the opening-day game on August 14.

They then travel to Wolves, welcome Watford and take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Spurs’ top-four credentials will be put to the test in a tricky double-header in late-September.

After hosting Chelsea on September 18, they make the short trip across North London to Arsenal for the first derby of the season on October 25.

The second derby game with Spurs will take place on at home on January 15.

They will then take on the Blues for a second time a week later, on January 22, with the second clash with Man City at the Etihad on February 19.

Elsewhere, Tottenham take on Manchester United on October 30 (H) and march 12 (A).

Title-chasing Liverpool are set to travel to Spurs on December 18, with the Anfield fixture on May 7.

Premier League rookies – and fellow North Londoners – Brentford will travel to Spurs on December 1, with the away tie on April 23.

In a bumper Boxing Day schedule, Tottenham host Crystal Palace, with Watford their New Year’s Day opponents.

Spurs will bring down the curtain on their season with a trip to newly-promoted Norwich.
